Well, welcome to the leadership podcast. I'm Jeff And I've been licensed firearm dealer for 13 years. Passionate about supporting our second odds. In this podcast, we'll cover various topics related to the second amendment. Plus any other topics of the day that I think are interesting or relevant. My name's slipping a sports movies topic. Occasionally I'll be fine with this podcast is informative and you can take at least one little thing away each time you listen to it. So. It is. July 11th Saturday. That I'm recording this. I don't know actually what I'm going to get it edited and released. I am in that baseball tour. We've been talking about. yesterday was two games and Tyler, Texas, which is about an hour and a half away. From here. Today, I'm driving an hour to walk the Hatchie for two games, then an hour and a half to Tyler for another game. Spend the night and Tyler get up at eight. O'clock have one more game and Tyler drive back an hour and a half to OCS. I actually, and I have one more game and then back home, probably about four o'clock tomorrow afternoon. And then back to work on Monday. So, hopefully get this edited and released by Monday. But just to give you a little context of what I'm recording versus when the new, this may actually, get released. So I thought I'd, talk a little bit about some of that. Just a little different than. It's going to be a short episode. It seems like the getting shorter and shorter, but, a little bit of my backstory. So I've been an FFL, I guess, at work. 13 years, got my FFL back in 2007. And at the time. I was buying a, you know, a gun here or there. and, and, primarily off a gun broker, you know, It was still early on in the online retailer space for firearms and, You know, after about a few and then went to my I'll publicly. I had him to transfer. I just decided, you know what, I'm going to see if I can get my fill. For no other reason than just to try. I've always been one to just try things. This podcast is, I think that Lumby just trying something that I've never done before. So I filled out paperwork, weighted my year and got my FFL. Yeah. And during this time, started working on brother who my brother has always been just. A huge farm, 30 as long. Yeah, much more than I ever been, way back to the time when, I mean, 10 years old and, So, you know, and I started talking about. Well, it's, you know, I'm getting my FFL. Think about, you know, both have always wanted to do something on that wrong. So let let's let's make it. Let's try this gun business thing. So we created live to shoot. And then 2007. I created a little sheet and then he joined me and, he was in North Carolina at the time. And we. Started to, and he, he had a key guy that fell out there as well. And, We started to, You know, accumulate some mentor. We create a website, had an online store. It's hard to marketing, starting doing sales. And I was going to just transfer it on the side. And, you know, we were doing a decent little bit of business. and. it was growing and then, variety of events happened and. we ended up having to back away from the online, store and keeping inventory, and really had to kind of step away from the business for a while. And you know, it just left me and I didn't have time to do all the sourcing and marketing and all of that. As well as all the other thing that I was doing as it pertained to the business. So I just kind of backed off and started doing, doing transfers. But, through this process, you know, I learned something, I developed a heart for something, and that was really to try and make the foreign person process much easier. You know, just really became a supportive and that, passionate about our second amendment rights. And facilitating those and allowing people to, to enjoy those rights with this few of, hurdles that they had to go over the, you. know, the government and local officials would make it tough enough. And so I really started trying to play, so I thought, well, I'm just going to try and make this transfer piece much easier. A lot of, gun stores don't like to do transfers. They, you know, see it as an inconvenience, so they will charge you a lot of money. they may not be as friendly to you when you come in. So I thought, well, I'm just going to create a thing or that I I'm embracing this people. They don't, when they come in, they don't feel like they, they, you know, I would get that. They've got to buy anything else from me. and also keep my transfer fees. Very horrible. I charged $10. If you had all that. Hang on license or 15, if you don't prefer. The last 13 years never changed. in my whole heart was around, you know, really trying to make this process easier on folks and to make it convenient and painless as possible. And. And people really seem to embrace that. And we provided service in the friendly atmosphere, the coming to and all around, just really trying to help facilitate people, exercising their second amendment rights. And through all those processes, things gone, you know, the, our second middle ranks and been challenged and pushed and pushed over the last several years. And so now I'm, you know, I'm still trying to figure out, you know, how can I. Again, no. Support the second amendment that's against this podcast. Try and get some information out to people. I was like, Got a YouTube channel that we're trying to build up. Well, I. In that effort, I'm looking at some other opportunities to try and potentially help facilitate. Figure out ways to help, make the. Farmer purchasing, transferring process easier, I guess, easier on new shooters to. To purchasing guns. Variety different things. And so, really this podcast, it just asking me, asking for some help. Can you, I'm going to put in the show notes, a link to a survey, and I would just like, it takes about two minutes to fill out. and just it's some questions now. Yeah. And this is really for those listeners that are in the States. that my international listeners, you know, this isn't really going to apply unless this, unless you are, you know, an American citizen. In the past an insight into this and, and you just, And you want to contribute those? That's great. But, just it's a. Two minute survey. ask some questions. I'm just looking for some data and turn to help either validate some assumptions and I'm making or trying to figure out, Some of the problems that might be solutions for, sorry. Just ask you to do that. as always. Just so you know, it's a little different episode, but as always subscribe, I think described button, hit the like button, email me, feel free to email me. I'm going to put a halt all lines down in there. If you're not on Perrier, get on Parmer again. you know, some of our biggest enemies on the second amendment is the big tech companies, social media, Facebook, Twitter. even, Instagram, they're not Googled impact, you know? Unfortunately, I have to use some of these in various ways. But, I don't. That's another thing that I'm trying to, to, to solve for them. I guess since there is so much resistance from that, you know, foreign company cannot advertise farms and on Facebook, you can, you. No, you can get banned on YouTube. If you could talk about the wrong things. she'll pictures of you that the deems inappropriate. And again, it's all trying. Crop callback. So our second amendment rights. So, that's again, it's not what I'm trying to do is just figure out ways to expand. And parlors another one of those that's that's. being countered to the, current, big tech social media. And, I'm supportive of it and just encourage you to go out there and do it. So again, subscribe to our podcast. You can follow me on parlor. and please, please, please fill out my survey. It takes two minutes. It's all asked just two minutes. Fill out my survey. shared with others. If you want to try and gather as much information as possible. And again, hopefully I'll get this off and did an off of, pretty soon. So, Until I talked to again. Thanks a lot.
