Welcome to the Live Shoot podcast. My name is Jeff Dolan. I've been a licensed firearm dealer for the last 15 years. In this podcast, we talk about all things related to the Second Amendment, or other stories going on in the news, or I might just pass on a support story. So welcome, welcome, welcome. How are y'all doing today? It taken a, a couple weeks off from doing the podcast, and one of the reasons why I took it off as I just wanted to spend a little time following the election to just sit back and, and not react. I just wanted to take it all in and. Then, you know, just give some initial thoughts on what I saw happen in the election for the midterms. And I think, you know, overall, if you are a conservative, if you are a Republican, if you, if you actually care about this country I think you would be disappointed in the election based on what we anticipated of what's going on, when you see what is going on in the world in this country, who our leaders are, what they're trying to impose upon us, and the fact that we didn't. Better results, meaning that there were people out there that still support the status quo that they want the current people in. It is disappointing. It's disappointing. In the Republican party, I, I believe a lot of this. Falls on our leaders in the Republican party and their unwillingness to support candidates that the populace wanted and to direct the funds to the appropriate pa place. Are you listening to me, Mitch McConnell? It's disappointing that people didn't get out and, and vote you know, we won the popular vote, but in certain areas Where the votes really mattered. We weren't able to, to, to get those candidates across the board. It is disappointing in Arizona and that our elections are still such a mess and that we still are trying to figure this out and those are disappointing the positive things. And you can hear a motorcycle going by outside. Sorry about that. Positive thing one Here in Texas, Beto O'Rourke is not our governor. I believe Glenn ab Greg Abbott still has a lot to do. I wish we had a different candidate, but Greg Abbott did beat Beto, beat him better than he'd done in previous elections, Texas, a little redder than it was in previous elections. So that is good news. JD Vance. That is good news. Okay, we took the house. That is good news. But I wish we'd gotten Tutor Dixon and Carrie Lake and as governors I wish we had Blake Masters in the Senate. I wish Herschel was not going on or going for a runoff. So that tells us we still have things to do. We have to get better and we, does that mean we have to do, we have to keep fighting. We have to get a ground game better. We have to get like the Democrats and more worry just as much about ballots as we are votes and where we have the ability to take advantage of the system, use the system. If we, if they can harvest ballots, then let us harvest ballots. We have to get a better ground game. We have to. Support our candidates. We have to come as a united front. We have to have better candidates. I don't think Oz was a good candidate and it showed that he couldn't be federman. I think we could have had a better candidate in in fe, in, in Philadelphia, mass Honor. I wish he'd won his governor, but again, it's a tough, tough thing. We did not, we did not s put the money towards those, those elections. But we can't get down. We have to keep going forward. You know, we, we've got the, the house, so we have some control, we have some input. We have to keep getting our message out there. We are hindered by mainstream media for those, those low propensity voters that just kind of listen to what they hear on the news. And so that, that hinders us. So we've got to keep getting the message out. We have to get a better ground game and, We have to keep fighting. We can't get down. We have to start local. We have to get involved in our elections. We have to garner support from other people and not get discouraged by this. 2024 is just around the corner, and this is gonna be a big one. We're gonna have the up the president up for election and Donald Trump has elected us, announced that he is going to to run. So we will see how that works out. I am a Trump supporter. I believe in Trump. He has a lot of baggages. He's always had baggage. Doesn't seem to keep him down. But we have to make sure that we at least fight on even footing and that we keep the, the. DOJ out of this, they're already got a special counsel gonna start investigating'em. They are trying to move the pieces on the chess board every which way they can. They're cheaters and they will cheat. So we have to take advantage and, and not let them do that. We have to come united. I lean on Donald Trump to do that. He needs to unite everybody. We have to get a cause, we have to take the energy and turn that energy into ballots. We can't just all get together and wave our flags and honk our horns. We've gotta start getting those that into turning you into ballots, knocking on doors, giving you everybody an assignment, something simple. Make these 10 phone calls, do this, do that. We have to get organized. But we have to keep fighting. I encourage that this is not, it's not an easy battle. You look at the, the Revolutionary War, it took eight years to, to win that war. And we didn't win. We lost more than we won. They say it was a battle one via retreats. But you have to stay diligent. You have to be dedicated. Thomas Pay. You know, you've heard these words. These are the times that try men's soul. But you know, this comes from the, his writing of the American crisis. And, you know, George Washington actually read this aloud, but you know, there's more after that. It says, these are the times that men's soul, the summer soldier, and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country. But he that stands by it now deserves love and thinks of men and women. Like hell, it's not easily conquered yet. We have this consolation with us that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we attain too cheap. We esteem too lightly. It is dearness only that gives everything its value. Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods and it would be strange. Indeed. It's so celestial article as freedom should not be highly rated. We don't wanna be summer soldiers and sunshine patriots. We do not wanna shrink from the service of our. Tyranny like hell is not easily conquered, and that is true and we have to keep fighting. That's been the message of this podcast all along, is to keep fighting. This is a great country and we have great leaders and we, we stand for something and we have to get all of that back. We do have to make America great again. Take care. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and I'll talk to you later.
