Welcome to the Live Shoot podcast. My name is Jeff Dolan. I've been a licensed firearm dealer for the last 16 years, and this podcast we talk about all things related to the Second Amendment, as well as my throw in a sports story or anything else that's going on in my life that might be interesting or anything else that I might find interesting for that matter. So welcome, welcome, welcome. It is Memorial Day weekend and this is a special weekend that we can remember and honor those that have fallen in the fight to protect our freedom. Very important weekend and, and should. We should all take a moment to just pause and think about those people that have, have given the ultimate sacrifice. Yeah, it's a three day weekend barbecue, you know auto races. Big sports events, all that's going on. Yeah. In fact, I've got the Monaco Grand Prix on in the room, the other room, and then you all have the Indy 500 later today, and then the NASCAR Coca-Cola race. So a lot of auto racing and I love, I love auto racing. I'll probably catch all three of'em a little bit today, but none of that needs to overshadow the fact that we're really here to remember those that have given the ultimate sacrifice. And we, we we, we pray and we thank'em for those sacrifices. So welcome, welcome, welcome. It is, You know, we are getting closer and closer to the deadline on the pistol brace rule, and still nothing has been definitively resolved. I'm still kind of holding strong to my belief that you know, if you just don't do anything, that's fine. That with some family members this weekend they were asking me about it. One has gone and, you know, paid$75 to an ffl to, to do his. Form and that's fine. His, his son's there asking, and I said, my advice is not to do anything, but you know, I'm not, I'm not a lawyer and I want your dad. So, you know, you can do all those. But there was some movement and that comes into the trial, the, the case that we've all been filing following, and it's the mock v Garland case and. This case, you know, the judge had entered an injunction for the plaintiffs and. There was some confusion about what did that injunction mean and the, there was some good news and some bad news. So the injunction came out and, and the judge, you know, they, the Firearms Policy Coalition filed, you know, a motion for asking for clarification, and the judge came back and, and he did clarify it, and he fed that. The injunction applies to the Firearms Policy Commission members. Maximum defense customers and the individual plaintiffs resident family members. So what does this mean? So it means that if you're a member of the Fire and Policy Coalition, you are protected at this point in time by that injunction. Or if you're a maximum defense customer or a. Family member of one of those that you are protected. So fire and Policy can commission co the Fire and Policy Coalition, I'm sorry, they came out and said we're incredibly excited to report. The Fifth Circuit has clarified that our injunction covers F P C members and maximum defense customers, as we have always argued for this. Relief will offer protection while we continue to fight against ATFs Overreach. So if you go out to the Fire, fire and Policy Coalition website, you can sign up and there's and, and be protected from a, with an injunction at least until things are decided. So I recommend that to you. They're in a great organization. You know, in that, you know, the ironic thing about all this is that the atf, by doing this, it's going to jump up the membership and money sent to that firearms Policy Coalition. Probably the gun owners in America, cuz people, gun owners in America's got lawsuits out there. So people are gonna be joining the gun owners in America as well to hopefully get protection if they get a similar type of injunction. So the ATF. Could have just increased the membership of some of these fine second Amendment organizations to so that they can all seek, you know, potential protection. So I encourage you go out to the Firing Policy Coalition. I'll put the link in the show notes to their website and where you can, you can join up. And I think they've got a thing where if you sign up, you put yourself in a drawing for like some custom Glock or something. I think so. Look into it, it's, it's definitely a thing, but that we all need to be a part of. So we are only, you know, a few days away from the actual deadline. I will keep posting on that. I, things may heat up here pretty quickly, as, as they always do when you get closer to these deadlines. The judges know that if they're gonna issue any kind of order or injunction or decision that the deadlines in po. Is coming quick. So, you know, I encourage you to keep listening to this podcast. I will send updates to it, but right now nothing defective, but if you go out, you join the Firearm Policy Coalition, you might be, be able to fall under some injunction in injunctive relief that the judge in the Fifth Circuit has issued. Now, how long does that go? I don't know. But Nothing, you know, nothing's bad from coming from joining the Fire Policy Coalition. So happy Memorial Day. Enjoy your time with your family. Be safe and I encourage y'all to look at sign up to the fire fpc and have a great weekend and I will keep you updated as things progress. Thanks.
