welcome to the sheet podcast. I'm Jeff doddle, and I've been a licensed firearm dealer for 13 years. And I'm passionate about supporting our second minute, right? In this podcast, we will cover various topics and related to the second minute, plus any other topics of the day that are interesting, relevant. Well, this is episode 34 and welcome. This week was a week where we did finally find out who Jill Biden running mates going to be. And he selected Kamala Harris. That is Kamala. I understand. Is the appropriate way that we're supposed to be saying. And so, you know, what do we know about Kamala Harris? is she someone we need to be worried about because the media is portraying her as a moderate. And along with a sleepy Joe, who they also say as a. Moderate. That, We, Have nothing to worry about that they are just a. Right down the center of the country and we, all, should embrace their policies but is that true? Well, we've already seen, you know, sleepy Joe, and then. As announced that beta would be his guns are, who was far from a moderate, sleepy. Joe has embraced that the green new deal with the AOC and the mob. And, you know, many other radical policies. he has just really. Vessel for Bernie Sanders. I think. So what about kamala is she going to balance out the ticket well what do we know about kamala wow She is I believe 56 years old she was born in oakland California. She went to Howard university and then got her law degree at the university of California here. Hastings college of law Mother immigrated To hate the united states from india Her father immigrated here from jamaica any claims to be a descendant of one of the prominent slave owners in jamaica at the time she's the oldest of two children She began her career as a district attorney in alameda california then she became the city attorney to san francisco and later the da Of san francisco and then later she was elected attorney general california Then she was elected to the senate in 2016. And she also ran in the 2020. president for the presidential nomination, but she quickly dropped out when it wasn't, it became evident that she wasn't even gonna win her home california So it's a Kamala and a sleepy Joe moderates. Well, if he believed Kamala w when she says. I am a gun owner and I own a gun for probably the reason a lot of other people do for personal safety. He might be tended to believe that she's a moderate, but, let's look at some of the things that she's done in her past. I'll go back to 2008 until the district attorney in San Francisco, she signed onto a brief that was filed with the Supreme court. In the Heller case. And in that brief, they argued a couple things. They heard one that the second movement. Only applies to the militia. It's not an individual, right. And they also argued that the second amendment does not apply to any legislation that's passed by a state or local governments. Also, during her time as a district attorney, she tried to end gun chose, to not, and she also defended the stakes gun control laws and court, and, and according to the California rifle and pistol association, cheat and failed to properly maintain and oversee several databases that were used to determine whether or not someone was eligible to purchase a firearm. Then. As a us Senator, ms. Harris has backed many so called vans. assault weapons. She supported the universal background checks and, in, during her, A recent campaign for president. She also began to tell her anti-gun agenda. And one of the things she, called for was a mandatory gun buyback. And I'm not sure what mandatory gun buyback really is. but to me it sounds a lot or like gun confiscation. And does anything else. she also said that she would, if Congress didn't bring, gun control bills to her desk, by the time she, her first hundred days in office that she would, use our executive powers to mandate, Universal background checks and also ban the importation of assault weapons. So. Is Kahmilah a moderate and what's her position on gun control? Well, I think it's pretty obvious. And along with that, her and Biden. I think our second amendment rights are seriously threatened. If they should get office, you know, we'll, Along with, with Biden's choosing a beta with his guns are so, I think this, choice of Kamala Harris. Is a poor choice for those of us that support the second amendment now we didn't expect any You know buddy that would be read by the nra as an eight grade to be chosen. But I think when you really look at, Especially kamala and coming from the state of california and what she's done there and what she believes i think this was really one of the worst candidates that we could have had. so with, again, this is where we keep echoing. It's important that we get out and vote. This is going to be a title action. the polls right now show that Trump is behind, but, you know, we can't believe poles either. So I think, but if you look at all the new gun hunters out there as well if this message can get out so share this message that for all these people that have just gone out and bought their first gun because of a fear turning this pandemic and the riots and such That if biden and Paris are elected, they're coming for them. And so, whether you might've not have voted for trump in the past This is definitely a time to look at the republican party So we will keep our eye on this and you know speaking of california a big ruling did come down this week also just as i was getting ready to do this podcast and that was the Appeals court Declaring that high capacity bans on high capacity magazines in California is unconstitutional. I'm not gonna get into that here but that was that is a win And that's going to be the topic of my next podcast so stay tuned for that i'll get that out as soon as i can next week and again if you like this podcast if you think the information is interesting and valuable I try and keep it short i don't want to get in to depth into things but give her by a high level what's going on just like this share it with people give it a five star rating email me if you've got questions follow me on parlor all those things will be in the show notes and have a good week
