Well, welcome to the live to shoot podcast. My name is JeffDowdle and I'm a licensed firearm dealer for the left for the last 13 years. I'm passionate about our second amendment rights. And in this podcast, we talk about all things related to the second amendment. As well as I might throw in a sports story or something going on in our current environment, such as the election or other areas of politics. So today is January 29th. 2021. The year of our Lord as a Stephen K Bannon says, pardon me. I am been fighting a cold all week. Not on, do not believe it's COVID. I have not had a fever. No. The other other symptoms, but just a lot of congestion and runny nose and a little bit of a sore throat at times. So if you hear me sniffle or a cough, That is why it is just a little bit under the weather. So so today, this week was an eventful week for me personally. My breakup a little bit here, but yesterday was my Son's 18th birthday. And How one hit me hard. So just being honest Okay, I'm back. I'm happy to pause it there for a minute. Cause. It was tough, but we did sell rights to sat. Berkeley. Also, he had officially decide on what college is going to, and he is going to go to a Texas Christian university in Fort worth. My Alma mater. So he is going to be at horn frog. He is wanting to be a horned frog. Ever since he was probably three years old, I would guess we've got pictures go to all the way back. Yeah. Some of it was imposed upon by his father, but Yeah, never, never did I actually ever encourage him to go to TCU? At all kind of discouraged it for a bit. Primarily because of the cost of it. But it became his dream. So we've, we've worked hard. He got a very good scholarship and academic scholarship for all his hard work. And that's helping make it happen. So. Kudos to him and we celebrate him today. So this is a been another week. Another interesting link, you know, I think 20, 21 is going to be as interesting as 2020. And I think the Biden administration is going to be interesting to watch over the next well, I don't know how long it's going to be. The Biden administration. Watching the state that he is in a salute, the Marine Sloot the Marines. If you don't know what that is. Just go look it up on YouTube. But He does not seem to be all there even, even more so over the last few last month or so. So it may be. A Harris administration suit. But right now, it is the Biden administration. But Interesting times. And I think, you know, this was another week of the the little man. Standing up and, you know, Showing his his voice. And that is, if you haven't followed the game, stop story, I suggest that you You go and look at it, but essentially. Some large hedge funds, Melvin capital for one. I had been shorting the game stock game. Stop stock. An expectation that it was going to decline. And some users on a Reddit platform. Decided that they were going to band together and. You know, I don't know if they wanted to prop up the game. Stop. Stock or a stick it to the man. I think a little bit of, a little bit of both. But they started buying up the game. Stop. Stock that is hard to say. And have driven the price up some Almost a thousand percent, I think at some point. And since Melvin capital, it was shorting it. They had to, they have taken. A significant loss and actually had to be built out by another one at the hedge funds. And now government has stepped in the they put a stop to the trading of the stock. They've the apps that were helping us, the Robin hood, Robin hood. App. Suspended trading. And it's just amazing how, when the little guy has benefiting how the. The forces can mobilize so quickly. Just in the case of parlor, how quickly some billion dollar companies all mobilized at the same time. And shut parlor down. Well, again, the government. And the agencies as well as Tech companies. Have mobilized to currently to, to halt or slow down the trading. And it started investigating what's going on with this activity. Now there, there may be some questionable things about it, but you know, When the little man's benefiting and the big hedge funds on wall street are being damaged. It doesn't take an act of Congress. It doesn't take moving mountains to start getting things done. It happens. Where as we've had schools shut down a restaurant's closed and we have not been able to get anybody back to work in a year. And nobody even really wants. Truthfully, he wants to talk about it to Nancy Pelosi. Months to give them the second stimulus bill, because she was holding it. A hostage and attempt to, to help manipulate the election, but nobody said anything. So again, the populist. Are still striking back. There, and I think, you know, we're going to see a lot of this as we move forward. I'm going to be encouraging it. I'm going to be encouraging us to use the power of our voice. Not, you know, not violently. But. In the terms of showing that we are out there and that we have an influence. And that's going to be just by taking more action. And being more involved in our process. So last week we talked a little bit about sanctuary States, Texas for one, making a movement to become a second amendment sanctuary state. Well, now we've got another movement that has picked up steam, and that is the constitutional carry movement. And I think this is going to be a big one as well. We've currently got a. 17 States that allow constitutional carry and there are right now, nine more. That are considering it in some form or fashion and to step back constitutional carry is basically saying that you can carry, I can feel weapon. Without having any type of permitting process or licensing process that we know currently in state, you have. Background check process, a classroom test taking and some sort of in many cases Proficiency shooting that you have to pass before you can get licensed to carry a concealed weapon. And constitution. Carrie says that that is basically taking the approach that all of that. Infringes on our second amendment rights and that our second amendment, right. To say that we have that ability too. To bear arms and that we should be able to do so. As long as we're not legally prohibited. For some other factor, which such as, you know, being a convicted felon or, or such. Now. They also in most of these constitutional carry States, they do have restrictions still like the deal on license to carry on. That does limit some of the places that you can or cannot carry schools. Federal buildings. Race tracks, things of that nature, but this essentially says that if you're a law abiding citizen, That you can care legally, carry a concealed weapon. Without going through any permitting process. So the States that are, are, are considering our, right now, our Utah, Tennessee, Montana. Find Republic of Texas, South Carolina, Florida. Alabama, Georgia. Seemed like there was one more, but I'm losing that right now. But We need to reach out to all the representatives of state. And start contacting them and encouraging them to, to pass these proposed bills and move them along. I will be trying to follow those as we go along and keep everybody updated because. The greater that we can further expand our ability to, to exercise our second amendment rights. The harder it is going to be for them to take it away. And there are going to definitely be movements to take it away. Joe Biden is not Men shy about saying that so far he hasn't acted. I thought one of the first things he was going to do with doing an executive order banning AR fifteens are assault weapons, the big, bad black gun that looks so evil. And, and, you know, magazines that hold over 10 rounds. But so far I haven't done it and that may have just been his advisors. Speaking out to him and whispering in his ear that this is not something either that he should do or that he can do. Is probably more of the fact that he can't do it. Based on just the U S constitution. Which is a pretty powerful document, but he is not going to try, stop trying, and he's going to get encouraged to do so. And God forbid, if we should have some sort of incident. Come up here. We know that it will S gain a momentum and back in start being pressed forward. So Continue to monitor the status. I'm gonna I don't know if I'm going to get it done today. But I'm, I'm, I'm kind of creating an action list. That I'm going to email my newsletter. I'm going to start publishing it. Of just things that you can do to go out and, and help, help the movement help help the populous movement. Succeed. And whether that's around our second amendment rights, supporting retailers, like for example Mike Lindell and my pillow, or again, big box retailers have all come together. One time. And I started, you know Refusing to carry his product because he S he was a Trump supporter. And that he questioned the election results. Heaven forbid that we should exercise. Our freedom of speech. And that they are now not going to carry his product. So, you know, I'm encouraging everybody to go out and, or my pillow products. If you haven't. They're awesome. I have a, my pillow. Have had it for a long time. My family has, and this up. This is not a sponsorship. I'm not going to pay for any of this. But we love them. In fact, when we travel, we all pack up our pillows and bring them with us. And maybe in a separate suitcase. Just so that we can have our, our pillows at the hotel that we're staying at because we've gotten to the, where we can't sleep without our, my, my pillow. And I believe my wife has placed an order and I'm looking forward. They are sending the, I'm getting a a throw blanket. So that I can sleep under it on the couch. When I take my, my naps. Yes, I do take a nap. So those are the types of things that my action center is gonna. Have, and it's just little things. It'll be linked. Maybe that can help you easily contact your congressmen on a particular item. What have you to, to just skin again, you know, for those that Are listening and the active, the more that we can do, the more that we can share and we can band together. It's gonna take all of us to Prevent some of these actions that this Leftist countries leadership is going to try and take us down. And they're going to try and erase the Trump movement. It's followers, obviously, and we're going to have to be there and be ready to support all of them. So it's going to be some exciting times. We can, when we've shown that we've got the power. Again, another example is Chaney. She is under some heat and that's, you know, that's a big name in politics. The Cheneys so the little guy can definitely stand up to the big guy. And we're going to show them that we can. So I want to keep you up to date on where we're going to be going on these topics. This constitutional carry items the sanctuary cities and anything else that impacts our second amendment rights. As well as anything just impacts our freedom and our Liberty. That that is what is really more important overall because. We get the second amendment helps protect those rights, but we have to stand up for all of our rights equally. So thank you for listening.
