Welcome to the Live to Shoot podcast. My name is Jeff Dowdell and I've been a licensed firearm dealer for the last 17 years and this podcast talk about all things related to the second amendment as well as anything else going on in the world or a sports story or anything else you might find interesting. So welcome, welcome, welcome. If you like politics, the last two weeks has just been like the Superbowl for you. It has been crazy. And main thing I'm talking about is, is the debate and the fight. Fall out from the debate. So we have spent the last two weeks with the Democrats going nuts. They are just falling all over themselves. They're pulling their hair out. They do not know what to do with the Joe Biden that we have all known is out there. And now what they found out after this debate is not only. Do we know it? And they know it. Everybody in the United States knows it, and the world. They have not been able to hide it. And that is what, that's what their biggest concern is. They, they've known the condition of Joe Biden, and they've been covering it up for the last, probably since he's been elected. I mean, we knew this in the campaign in 2020, that he was just not mentally all there. And he has just slowly gotten worse over the years to now. He's almost. Catatonic, for lack of a better word. I mean he can barely function. He has some good days and he has some bad days. What's that sound like? That sounds like the stories you hear about everybody's grandmother or grandfather or aging father and as they're going through Alzheimer's and dementia. Yeah, they have good days and they have bad days. Well, Joe has good days and he has bad, actually has good hours in bad days. That's probably the better way to say it. But the Democrats, you know, they have, there's just been a cataclysm of, of, of calls for him to, to step out of the race all the way, you know, from George Clooney, our political mastermind, George Clooney James Carville is all over it. All of them. And Joe's not going anywhere. He's made that pretty apparent. He's not going anywhere, you know he has big boy press conference the other day and that was supposed to be it, you know, the whole correction to everything and They did okay but still didn't knock it out of the park and So now the Democrats have been struggling with what to do what to do How do you know because they know that? Their DEI vice presidential candidate is not capable of winning election or running this country. So what do they do? Because if they take Joe off the ticket and they, and they jump over Kamala, one, they've just, you know, shown themselves to be the hypocrites that they are and about, you know, diversity, equity, and inclusion. But the other thing is, is they lose all their campaign money. That money that has been raised is for the Biden Harris campaign, not the Gavin Newsom campaign, Gretchen Whitmer campaign, Hillary Clinton campaign, none of those. So they got a money problem. They have a candidate problem because the current candidate that they have is incapable of functioning. He cannot run. It is obvious he cannot be president for another four years and they have a vice president which can it is supposed to step in This is worse and it's disliked probably more than almost anybody else in the Democrat Party her cackling Is just unbearable and she's probably not capable of organizing the snacks for a t ball game. But, you know, that's not really to me what the big issue is. And this is where, you know, I think the Democrats and the Republicans differ, you know, to a degree at least from my perspective, is that everybody that you hear talking about why Joe needs to step down is because he's not. He can't win an election. They're saying he can't win this election. He can't win this election. He's not capable of winning this election Nobody's saying he needs to there's there's a little 25th amendment conversation But I think the bigger conversation is can he run this country currently and it's obvious He can't he cannot make tough decisions. He can't make fast decisions. And that is where the Democrats are are really showing their true colors. They don't care about this country. They care about power. They don't care because if they did, they'd say, Let's invoke the 25th amendment. Let's replace Joe Biden, have Kamala step in as president and then put it in, put in a vice president. And then, you know, then they've got to deal with all the fallout about how they've been hiding this all along, how he's been incapable. And then they got to figure out how they're going to let Kamala Harris to the presidency. And that's not going to happen. So, but the other thing I don't think is going to happen is Joe Biden. I don't think Joe's gonna step down. I don't think Jill's gonna let him. I don't think Hunter's gonna let him. And definitely Joe, when he's I'm not going to let him do it. So, what, what here? Well, from now on, what do we do from here? Well, I think President Trump's been doing the right thing. He's been staying pretty quiet. He's letting Joe do all the speaking like he did in the debate. And letting him just continue to dig his, his grave even a little deeper. But now, you know, I think You know, I'm struggling too, because I want to run against Joe Biden, but I really fear for this country. But I think, you know, this next week with the Republican National Convention, then provide a little distraction and get Joe off the front pages and maybe he'll survive another week. And then every, the further down the path that we get, surviving makes it harder on the Democrats because they have less time to change gears and to change direction. And I believe on the 21st, which is eight days from now, they have to do, they actually have to do a roll call and out before the convention and nominate somebody because that's, they have, that's a deadline to get on the Ohio. ballot. So if Joe can only make it eight more days, maybe make it till next Sunday. He may have put, you know, sealed this thing, but ultimately the best thing for this country would be for him to step down as president because we are a very weak country right now and the world sees it and I'm scared that something's going to happen. So, but we can't take it for granted. We can't take for granted that we're going to be able to beat him. You know, the worst thing that's going to happen is if he actually wins, then we're in a horrible position. So this is where we have to keep fighting. We can't sit on our laurels. We have to keep fighting. We have to pull this election out. And we have to take control of the House, Senate, and the over the office all at one time. We have the opportunity right in front of us. We have to get people registered to vote. We have to get out and vote ourselves. We have to do whatever it takes. Send your 20 to the Trump campaign, do whatever it takes. We got to keep fighting. It's got to be action, action, action. And we can sit back and enjoy the show for a little bit because this is some good TV. So have a great weekend. No telling what's going to happen between now and Monday, the weekend before the RNC convention starts. No telling what will happen next week. It's gonna be a crazy ride and we're gonna sit back and at least try and enjoy it from that perspective. But understanding our country is in a deep, deep spot that we can't to be able to dig ourselves out of and the only way we can do that is to win this upcoming election. So, I say, let's go Brandon and let's, you know, keep him in, let's beat him and take over this country. Thank you and have a great day.
