Well, welcome to the Live to Shoot podcast. My name is Jeff Dole and I've been a licensed firearm dealer for the last 17 years, and this podcast to talk about all things related to the Second Amendment, as well as anything going on in the world. Or a sports story or anything else I might find interesting. So welcome, welcome, welcome. It has been, I. Big two weeks lately here around here. I missed the podcast last week. I kind of let told you that wouldn't be happening because my, my oldest son got married last Saturday. Big things. Great. It's a great new bride. They're just coming back from their honeymoon. We are so happy. We're blessed to have her in the family and it's just, she's absolutely perfect for him. So that has been the story of what's been going on for us, but in the world, things have been even crazier, right? And let's, what I want to talk about this week is who's Tim Walls. He, so I've done, you know, who is JD Vance, who is Kamala Harris. Now let's talk about who Tim Walls is. He is who Kamala has picked as her vice presidential candidate. And I think it needs to know a little bit about him and what this ticket consists of now. So Tim Walls. He was born in 1964 in Nebraska. He graduated from high school in 1982. He graduated from Chadron State College in Nebraska with a B. S. in Education in 89. He was a high school teacher and coach for a number of years. In high school, he was the first faculty advisor for the Gay Straight Alliance. He also enlisted in the Air National Guard in, when he was 17. And this is what has been up as a lot of controversy here lately. If you haven't followed it he has been accused of stolen valor. He's in the past claimed that he had the rank of a command sergeant major for one when he left the Air National Guard, which was untrue. He was given that under the condition that he would complete a series of things, and one is going with his unit. To Iraq. As soon as he got word that they were going to be going to Iraq, he somewhat then decided to retire from, and basically, even by some of his people that he served with, that they are quite critical that he abandoned his unit. He has also implied in many speeches that he was, he did see combat. And that is completely not true. He was in the House of Representatives from 2007 to 2019. And he's been governor of Minnesota since 2019. But. What's he think about guns? Well, the Gun owners of America aren't very fond of him. Now, he, he snookered a lot of people over the years, including NRA, and he had a very positive rating with NRA. He kind of used his folksy, hometown, small town rural farmer pheasant hunting pheasant hunting. perception and it was got a positive rating from the NRA. But then, you know, actions always speak louder than words. And when he was elected into Congress, he voted to create a national registry of concealed permit holders. He voted against the First and Second Amendment by attempting to force the gun owners of America to disclose their membership list to create a gun registry for the Federal Election Commission. He voted to expose gun owners personal medical history, leading to bans and possible confiscation. He also voted to restrict the ability of gun owners and hunters to use the Washington Rochambeau National Historic Trail area to create a 600 mile gun free zone for sportsmen and hikers. He voted to ban carry firearms for self defense in national parks. And this is what led them to downgrade him. Now, what did he support? He supported universal background checks, or you know, as we've talked about, a gun registry, gun compensation laws, with a fake due process, the red flag laws, a no fly, no buy gun. gun by. He eliminated the concealed carry permit. These were what he voted for. He eliminated concealed carry permit reciprocity between states. He supported the assault weapons ban mandatory storage requirements, and he also supported the bump stock laws and banning government, banning firearms on government. He has been extremely Anti gun in his tenure. As governor, he created the background background registration check for the state of Missoula, Minnesota. He weaponized the gun confiscation laws with no due process against at least 71 American citizens. Those were utilizing the quote unquote red flag laws. And he banned semi automatic firearms with The ATF approved binary triggers. So when you look at the combined work of Kamala Harris and Tim Walsh, you get a very anti gun, um, platform and they've, they've, they've come out there. They're pretty good. He is prompting us still the universal background checks. No banning conceal hair, carry, reciprocity, assault weapon bans. Those are some, some things that they are already in their, their campaign speeches have said. But this man is just a radical. He's crazy. Called Stady Vance weird, but he's the one that put tampons in boys bathrooms. That's, he's got his new nickname of Tampon Tim. He is very pro trans and uh, preventing medical officials from notifying parents if their teenagers are getting trans surgeries. He is, this is the most socialist, communist that we've ever had in the United States. This will definitely ruin America, the combination of these two. And again, we have to continue to do what we've said to do. We need to fight, fight, fight for and protect our second amendment. We are only answer. The only answer is Donald J. Trump, and we have to get him into the office so that we can one, stop things like this, and then also flush out a lot of this, this negative anti americanism that is rampant through our government and that are really undermining a lot of things that we need to do. But Kamala Harris and Tampon Tim, they are, you know, she's a crazy, cackling communist from California and he is the Tampon Tim of Minnesota and they are both communists. They want to spread equity throughout in terms of, of, of everybody having the same outcomes. And it is just going to be detrimental to gun owners. So if you own a gun and you want to keep it, I don't care if it's a shotgun, it's a little revolver that you keep in the closet for protection. I I believe these two are coming for them all because that is what a regime does. They have to confiscate the guns so that they can then control the citizenry. And we know that. We've seen that from history. And I think that is what this ultimate plan is. And if we give them another four years and potential eight and whatever to get that done, we will be in that state. So we're coming down to the wire. We have to support President Trump. Register to vote if you haven't. Get people to vote. Spread this podcast. Tell everybody what's going on out there. And again, we have to continue to stand up and fight and do action, action, action. I appreciate it. Have a great week and I will talk to you again.
