America First

Jeff Dowdle Episode 220

Welcome to the Loot Chute Podcast. My name is Jeff Dowdell and I have been a licensed firearm dealer for the last 17 years. In this podcast we talk about all things related to the Second Amendment as well as anything else going on in the world, or Anything else that I might find interesting. So, welcome, welcome, welcome. So, this week I really was just doing some thinking of some retro introspection, I guess would be the word about how I got here politically. To where I am today. And maybe some of the regrets I have about past beliefs. And I would talk a little bit about that. So to, to be clear, you know, I have always been a firm supporter of the second amendment small government, strong military. That, that is really the, the core of my beliefs and that that abortion is, should be. Illegal, but I don't want to get into that topic at all. But that's where I've always been. I grew up in the 80s. Reagan, it, it was and is still my president. He, he, he brought in a new era to the United States. He brought in great, and you said you know, a pride in being an American. He won the cold war. He demonstrated that peace through strength works. In 1984, I graduated from high school, so y'all can figure out how old I am. And I was 17 years old, and I went to the Soviet Union. And I took a trip with a group of other people, and we were there for about a week. We went to Moscow and Leningrad St. Petersburg. And When I got home, you know, so it's 84, the Cold War is going on. They, you know, Western, this Westernization of the Soviet Union had not happened. Kentucky Fried Chicken, Pepsi, Nike, none of that was in the, the Soviet Union at that point in time, the USSR. And it was, you know, extre I mean, it was pure communism. And when I walked back, and we all talked about it as a group, And I'm only 17 years old and I literally, you know, wanted to kiss the ground when we landed back in the United States and I made a commitment to myself. Now, I did not go and just to take that moment and enlist in the army or the military I did not take it to that level, but I did make a commitment that I would always stand up and fight for this country because I saw what it could be, what communism could be and what it's, it's like. In just a week's time period, I saw, I saw lines of people waiting to get into grocery stores. I saw just poverty and depression. And so, you know, that, that formed a lot in me. And but, you know, so I've always been, you know, that, that, of that belief, that communist, communism is the enemy. And so along the way, you know, I have been a staunch Republican. But now as we get here and I look back and I look at where I am now as really a America first Republican I realized that I wasn't always What I would think was America first. So, we went through this period in the United States, and we still are, I think. You know, this nation building period, where we think that we can go out and spread peace and freedom by switching regimes and changing these dictatorships or communist nations to democracies. And we've initiated wars and Rebellions, internally rebellions to try and accomplish this. And I was of the belief that, hey, if we can go out there and bring, make more nations democratic, then we can be a better world, a better society. Because communism is so, so bad. But there was one key thing, and I missed, and I realized I missed, and the reason why that doesn't work, the reason the United States is so great. It's not because we're a democracy. There's a lot of democracies out there that are not great. The reason that we are great is because we are based on the Christian foundation, or Judeo Christian beliefs. That's what makes us different. And You can't take that into a Muslim nation and try and make them a democracy without the Judeo Christian foundation and expect to get the same results that you get in the United States. So I say that to say, if you look at what's happening now in the United States. They, we are continuing to pull further and further away from our Judeo Christian beliefs. And where are we? We are in the chaos that we are in right now. We were, people really actually believe that communism is a better solution. That we are bringing in people from all other nations of all other beliefs into our nation and illegally. And we're spending money on them. And then when something happens to our own country, our own citizens, like in North Carolina, we don't have the money because we've sent billions to Ukraine. We've spent billions on illegal immigration. And, and where are we at? We're a weaker nation. And so, you know, it's, it's, you know, critical that not only do we continue to fight. These tyrants and these communists that want to take over our country, but we get back to our Judeo Christian beliefs and that we focus on America first. We get our house in order and then we look to see what can we do for other people. If you look at what's going on in the world, what's going on in North Carolina, okay? It's not the government that's going in there to help. It's, it's citizens. It's Christians, for the most part. It is Christians, organizations Samaritan's Purse, Mercury One. These organizations that are gathering up money and sending in supplies. That's the way it has always happened when the nation is in distress. When we've had our own hurt and threatened. It's the, the Christian organizations are the ones that step up and help They help the other people in all the other worlds, and if we continue to push the Christians down, the only thing that we can hope for at that point is that Jesus does come back. So, we are weeks away from counting day, not the election day, because in many states they've started voting, and if you're in those states, you need to get out and vote. We have to vote. We have to make sure that we don't allow the communists to take over our country. We have to focus on America first. We have to defend our Second Amendment rights, because the Second Amendment, as we've said, defends all the others. And that is where they're going to strike us. And yes, they're going to come and take our guns. So I say that, I say it to tell you all the story about where I've come from, to where I am now. To reiterate, That I believe in this movement more than anything that I have ever in the past and we have to get Donald Trump in the office so that we can continue to turn this country around We have to make America first. Thanks for listening. Have a great week get out and vote vote vote Get your neighbors to vote, your family to vote. If anybody in your family over the age of 18 doesn't vote, shame on you. Make sure everybody votes. Take care and have a great week.
