Well, welcome to the Lu Sheet Podcast. My name is Jeff Doddle. I've been licensed firearm dealer for the last 17 years. In this podcast, we talk about all things related to the amendment as well as anything else going in the world sports story or anything else that I might find interesting. So, winning never gets old. I love to win. I'm a very competitive person. I have always been. I've had, as I've aged, I've had to revise my approach to winning and losing more accurately. I have not been a good loser, especially in my younger days, but I, I love to win. And with the new Trump administration, you know, winning is Isn't getting old. We, we, we keep winning. We keep winning. Yesterday we had two big wins. We had the first big win for me was the appeals court saying that, you know, Fannie Willis needed to be removed, her entire office, from the the case in Georgia. So that case now is dead always should have been, but definitely is dead now for her improprieties and now, but the other big win was the killing of that continuing resolution. And I'll have to admit when the first time a few days ago when people started talking about the CR, I I was like, what? You know, I have opposed every CR that we've had in the last six, eight years. And I've been a fan of, let's just shut the government down until we work it out. Figure out, you know, while we're shut down, what did we not miss? And let's just not bring it back. You know I think everybody ought to just, you know, after, after Christmas. Just don't come back till, you know, till we, we call you and we'll go look at the government and see, you know, what did we miss? Did we miss the Department of Education? Did we miss the FDA? Did, you know, did we miss all these different agencies? But, you know, that won't happen. But, I was very disappointed when the CR came out. Here we were about talking about this huge spending bill and that it was going to basically take spending control out of the hands of Doge and President Trump. And I'm asked, how did we get, I think, how did we get here? How did, how did the Elon and Vivek and Trump not know about this was, it's because slimy Mike Johnson didn't tell him about it. You know, he was going to army, Navy game with them. He was going to UFC fights with them and buddying up to him and never tell them that for the last months he'd been negotiating with Democrats. This huge CR 1600 pages that doesn't just happen overnight. But the good thing is, as soon as Trump got wind of it, as soon as MAGA Media got rid of it got wind of it the, the War Room Steve Bannon and Charlie Kirk and Dan Mangino the, the posses all went to work and the, the, the populace started contacting their congressmen and telling them what they actually thought about this and President Trump spoke and It's been killed. It's a big win. They did negotiate a small extension. Some extra money for farmers and some disaster relief. But, you know, there is a new sheriff in town. And his name is Donald John Trump. And, he, the Old ways, we're just told things aren't going to operate like this anymore. We're not working behind doors. We're bringing all this out in the public and we're going to negotiate with transparency in front of the people, not behind the people. So big win, big win. Now, what would I like to see for a win in 2025? Well, my, my biggest thing is the ATF and you know, we can say we want to eliminate the ATF that's not going to happen. I'd really don't. So. There's a lot that could happen with the ATF, but I just want to focus on just a few things. So first, let's start at the top. We have to get rid of Steve Dettelbach. So we talked about last week, you know who might replace, who might be the new director of the ATF that will be a key position. Let's be watching that very closely to see who does get nominated for that. But that is the first step we have to do. Then, we just have to take the ATF with it's new director and change it's focus to fighting the bad guys that use guns illegally instead of going after the guns themselves. That is what the ATF is about and we need to change that focus, we need to deregulate silencers. Pull them out of the NFA. They are just hearing protection. They are nothing menacing about them. Now, people are going to look to this UnitedHealth CEO killing and say, look, there's one where the, the killer used a silencer. Why he used a silencer, I don't know. Where he got it. I don't really know all those details, but silencers are not used in crime. And We just need to pull them out and make those easier for people to, to get. We need to disband the Office of Gun Violence Prevention, which is headed by Kamala Harris. We don't need that. What is that about? That's waste of money. That should be one of DOJ's first crosses that they cross off. The changes that they made to personally made firearms and kits. We need to roll that back. We need to, you know, that is not anything that we really need to be focusing on. Americans have been making their own firearms for years. You know, the director, going back to him, when he, he, he's sworn in, he's got to swear to protect the, the Constitution of the United States. And the Second Amendment is part of that Constitution. And I think that's the role of the ATF. They should be out there trying to prevent the infringement of the Second Amendment. So those are some things that we need to, to get done. You know, we need to fix the nick system. We need, there's a lot of stuff that we need to do, but if we can get better leadership, new focus, get rid of silencers get rid of the gun prevention and really go after the bad guys, I think the A TF will be in a much better position. To protect the United States citizenry and also grow the industry, help dealers, help them. You know, identify criminals better or have the dealers as your frontline, you know enforcement group, which is what we should be. But no, you know, going after the dealers and trying to just shut them down is not the approach that the ATF needs to go. So that would be my big win for 2025. I'm hoping we see lots and lots of winds coming up, but in the meantime, you have a very Merry Christmas. Enjoy your time with your family. This is a very precious time. Remember the reason for the season that we are celebrating our savior, Jesus Christ, and that's what it's all about. But enjoy your time with your family and relax and enjoy the winds. Enjoy the winds. Take care. Talk to you later.
