Well, welcome to the Live to Shoe podcast. My name is Jeff Doell, and I have been a licensed firearms dealer for the last 18 years. This podcast, to talk about all things related to the Second Amendment. Anything else going on in the world, a sports story or whatever else might be interesting. So welcome, welcome, welcome. Again, another interesting week with the Trump administration. So the big thing I think that was happened since the last podcast is that Kash Patel was named as the interim director of the ATF. We've been waiting to find out what they were going to do with the ATF director. And they as the interim director until they got one that is nominated. So, interesting thing about the director of the ATF. Since 2006, and 2006 is when the director position of the ATF went from a, just an appointee to a Senate confirmed position. And since then, there has only been two directors actually confirmed by the Senate. Every other director has been an interim. Dettelbach, the last one, was actually the last one and they took a little Uh, maneuvering of the rules to get him done. So don't know how long Cash will be serving as the interim. It's, you know, a very political position. On both sides, as we've documented in here, the Second Amendment is probably the most attacked and challenged of our Bill of Rights. People seem to it seems to be a second class right that people seem to, that they have the ability to question and pass laws to challenge it all across the country. And the ATF has not been the biggest supporter of the Second Amendment as, as to say, and so it is a very, politically, uh, heated position to say the least. So I've, you know, have no doubt that Cash will do good things in his position. I'm excited that he is the confirmed director of the FBI, and we'll have to wait and see what, what transpires with the, with the, that, that position and who they nominate. President Trump has not been slow in getting these positions nominated. So I'm expecting some names to come out soon, but I think President Trump and Attorney General Pambani wanted to make sure that there was at least a hand on the wheel of the ATF Watching what's going on in there because to make sure they aren't doing things to violate our second amendment And that they are supporting the mission that President Trump ha has proposed and the executive order supporting the second Amendment that he released. So we will see, we'll have to sit back and, and, and watch those things. Another interesting development was the nomination of Dan Bongino as the deputy Director of the FBI. Very interesting. I'm a big fan of Dan Bonino. I have listened to his podcast. Oh, I don't even know how long for, for a long period of time. And the one thing about, dan is that he has been extremely critical of the FBI and the Secret Service, but the FBI in particular, he's written books about Spygate and Russiagate and, you know, follow the money and all those things that happened in the 2016 Pursuit of President Trump and Russiagate and PP, the PP tapes and all those things that were blatantly against our, our, our and pursuit of, of the truth. So I think Dan will do great things when he gets in there in a few weeks and starts his position. So it'll be interesting to continue to sit back and watch. So, you know, things are happening and it seems to be positive. Doge is still out there shaking things up and I love to see it. People are just. The leftist heads are blowing up, but the other thing that happened transpired, you know, was yesterday. And this is, you know, to me, demonstrates leadership. And if you have not seen it, you need to go watch the interaction between President Trump Vice President J. D. Vance and Zelensky of Ukraine in the Oval Office, and there was a smackdown. And our two president and vice presidents were the boss. They demonstrated exactly who were the leaders and who had the upper hand in this arrangement. And that they did not expect, you know, anything but Submission by Zelensky. And he seemed to be regretting that he was actually kicked out of the White House. And the negotiations stopped. The agreement that they were expected to sign was put on hold. And now Zelensky has come out and been a little control, a little, you know apologetic, you know, been very. Thankful to the US and to the president and we'll see if that buys him any any grace But you know at least me and I think a lot of people believe you know what we've done You know, we feel for the Ukrainian people Russia did invade them But I think it all could have been stopped a long time ago If people would truly search for peace. And I don't think Zelensky really wants peace. I think he likes the money train that the U S has been providing. And I fully believe that he's been skimming that those billions, some of it going into his pocket and he doesn't want to see it stopped. And president Trump is pretty making it clear that, you know, we're not, we're not going to continue this. We're going to search for peace and we're going to go for a ceasefire. So let's keep saying he didn't want to cease fire. And that really. Erked President Trump and so and J. D. Vance wanted to hear some thankfulness from Zelensky which he was not getting So it's very interesting and you know, the history goes back a long way We talked about the Russiagate and everything like that. Well Trump was impeached the first time because of a phone call that he had with Zelensky where the The left accused Trump of looking for a quid pro quo from Zelensky saying, Hey, we need you to go and give us all this dirt on Hunter Biden. And you know, that was not the case of the call. And I think Trump has always had a little bit of resentment. towards Zelensky because Zelensky could have come out publicly, publicly at the time and stood up and supported President Trump and said, no, that was not the intention of the call. We had a really good call and it was very, um, productive, but he never did. He never did. And if I was President Trump, I'd be a little irritated, and I'd be carrying that irritation along with me today. So but you know, President Trump, the one thing, people think that he holds grudges and he's got revenge. He, he doesn't. He is very transactional. You can have a minus in your column from yesterday, and you can do something today and have a positive in your, in your column, and he's gonna move on. And he's going to accept that, right? He doesn't, you know, I don't think he holds grudges, but he doesn't forget either. So, you know, we'll have to see. You know, we're praying for peace in Ukraine. We need that war to end. We need to stop spending the money on it, and we need the lives. the loss of lives to cease. It's ridiculous how out of control this has gotten. But, you know, we need to sit back. We'll watch what happens the rest of the week. You know, every week is a new week with this administration and I'm excited to keep watching it. You know, there's nothing but positives coming out of it. Still wanting to get those Epstein lists. Some of the paperwork was released, but that client list hasn't come out yet. And I am a little concerned by that. But we will see by maybe by the time this podcast gets published, that we'll have all the full client list and we'll see who all has been frequenting Epstein Island and what type of degenerates that we might have in, in sports. politics business, whatever you might have that hung around Epstein. And so we will see what that brings, but keep watching out. You know, I wouldn't be surprised if a new ATF director is, is, is, is announced and that confirmation hearing starting soon I think president Trump is wanting to continue to move fast on that, but we'll wait and see. Lots of names out there that I've heard. But you know, I have no opinions on that. I don't know any of these folks, but take care keep you know, fighting for our second amendment. We've got to keep fighting. They're not going to give up. And this is not over. And by a long shot, we have some great positive steps happening, but this administration is doing great things. There are a lot of things still going on in the courts, and we've got, we've got to continue to fight for our Second Amendment. So share this podcast with people, do whatever you need to do to get the word out not just about my podcast, but just about the importance of the Second Amendment. I appreciate y'all listening, have a great weekend, and I will talk to you later.
