Welcome to the Live Shoot podcast. My name is Jeff Davila. I've been a licensed firearms dealer for the last 18 years. In this podcast, we talk about all things related to the Second Amendment sports story, or anything else going on in the world, or anything I find interesting. So welcome, welcome, welcome. This is a special edition of the podcast. I'm jumping on here because early voting has started in Texas, and this is a, a podcast really directed towards my Texas listeners. But early voting for the primary runoff of, for the Texas Senate has started this week. This day is Wednesday, and it goes till Friday in the race between Ken Paxton and John Cornyn. And if you listen to this podcast for any period of time, you know that, that one of my missions has been to get John Cornyn out of th- out of the Senate. He has been a very weak senator and he is not a, a pro-Second Amendment person. He only supports the Second Amendment whenever it's politically advantageous. But we here strongly support Ken Paxton. And the president just came out and supported Ken Paxton, and we are really need to get this one over the finish line. John Cornyn, brought partnered with Joe Biden just a few years ago to bring the Bipartisan Safer Community Act, which is some of the, which is the latest set of federal firearm r- rules, g- and laws that got passed, and some of the worst. Expanded the background check for adults under 21 thus slowing down and, and restricting their right to bear arms. It expanded the ability for states to have stronger red flag laws, thus taking away your firearms without due process. It s- made everyone have to essentially be a dealer if they wanted to sell their personal firearms or become a felon if they did and on and on and on. And this is, Been a very key issue for me, and I'm just encouraging you to get out and vote for Ken Paxton. John Cornyn has been in the Senate since 2002 and has done nothing. He is weak on immigration. He has supported amnesty the entire time, was against the border wall, and does not support Trump, has not been an advocate for him. And we really need a change in the Senate at this point in time, and we need somebody that represents Texas values. And John Cornyn just does not do that. Ken Paxton is a fighter. He will fight for us. He has been fighting for Texas as the, the attorney general, and he will continue to fight. And so again, early voting started on Monday. You can go to votetexas.gov and find out where you can vote early. That goes till Friday, and then on the general election will be on Tuesday, and that's where you, you go to your typical polling place. And again, you can get all that information on votetexas.gov on where you need to v- vote. But it is important because this is a critical seat to, to maintain control of the Senate and also maintain our agenda and get things passed through. The there are so many things that need to be done and, and John Cornyn is just not getting it done. So after this, we'll have to then deal with the, the actual election, and there is a formidable Democratic candidate. We won't discuss him today, but we will discuss him quite a bit in the future. But our first mission is to get Ken Paxton over the finish line. So I am imploring you to get out and, and if you're not in Texas and people in Texas, encourage them to vote because we need to get as many people out there. This is gonna be a, our turnout election. Whichever candidate gets the most turnout is the one that's gonna win, and it's close, but I'm confident that we can get this done. I will, probably have another, an issue come out of the podcast as, whenever we know the results and discuss those and what the ramifications of those results are. So stay tuned, keep listening, and we have to keep fighting, fight, fight, fight for our Second Amendment because they will continue to try and take it away. So take care and have a great one.
